Permit Restrictions
A building permit is required for a structure > 64 square feet
The addition of electricity would trigger a building permit
Use the following chart to determine if a planning permit is required in your single-family lot:

Height and Setback Restrictions
Max height: 14 feet
Daylight plane restrictions:
Begins 3 feet away from the side property lines at a cross-cutting line 9 feet 6 inches above the average natural grade
It slopes inwards at a 45-degree angle
There are no exceptions to these restrictions
It cannot exceed the 14-foot height requirement
The square footage of the structure cannot exceed 25% of the square footage of the main building
ADU RESTRICTIONS:
Zoning Restrictions
All single-family homes are permitted to have ADUs
All two-family homes are permitted to have ADUs
All multi-family homes are permitted to have ADUs
Setback and Height Restrictions
Setback Requirements:
Side lot: 4 feet
Rear lot: 4 feet
Any existing structure: 10 feet
Maximum height: 16 feet
Other Restrictions
Short-term rentals < 30 days are not allowed for ADUs
